About CTAS

The Central Texas Archaeological Society was founded in 1935.  The society is dedicated to learning more about archaeology in Texas and sharing this information with the public through
monthly meetings, guest speaker, seminars, and community envolement.

Preserving and studying historic/prehistoric sites and artifacts are vital to our understanding of human evolution, existance, and purpose.  The society promotes preservation of artifacts by
careful examination, documentation, and recording.
